Project Work
Today in class we worked on our projects with our groups. We had to finalize our groups because Mr. Schick has a plan of making sure the passiveness come presenting day doesn't happen. He is going to do a drawing because every time its time to present know one wants to present. As a group we were able to decide what we were going to do, we are going to make a trifold program presentation on Chariots races and gladiator things that are going on at the games. In this presentation we are going to have the Roman architecture, The Roman architecture is going to be very descriptive, and very detailed. Our project is going to require us to get together in a couple of weeks.

Finding Reliable information
Today in class we were suppose to come up with 5 facts for the following topics... Circus Maximus, Coliseum, and other Roman Architectures. When we did this the main point of this was to use sites that very reliable sources. Because a lot of time we just type whatever into Google and 9/10 we just use wiki because its the first thing we see and if not then we use whatever of the next 3 top articles. When actually we should narrow our search and use other sources. Because when we use wiki or other unreliable sources, we put inaccurate information that makes us look stupid on a presentation because we just wanted ton get done but we didn't ant the most accurate information that we could get. But yea basically take your time in finding reliable information.

Tarquin The Proud
Here are the notes below that I recorded...
-He was a Tyrant who was not goo to his people
-A very bad leader who all he cared about was himself
-Everyone was waiting for him to die to get a new leader
-They waited for him to die because they had a monarchy which means the King is there until he dies , there is no reelection
-And even if he died most likely his son would take over which would be even worse
-Brand new Republic ready to run Democracy, Aristocracy, and Monarchy.
-The Roman Legion had 5000 soldiers, and were not in for pay but because it was their duty for their nation
Punic Wars
-One of the most interesting things I heard in the notes was that in the war they used elephants instead of horses which is a great idea because they are more effective in size, strength, and power.
-Instead of going right at Rome to take it over, they went all the way around and Rome was not ready and they took it over.

Powerpoint
Today in class we discuss the topic Rome, since this will be our next unit. Mr.Schick said we have the opportunity to either do a simple power point or a really cool project. My group of me, Gabi, and Skylar are thinking of a a lot of different ideas. We started with some brainstorming of making some ancient architecture,or making some Italian food since Rome is the Capitol of Italy. But those are just some of the many ideas that our group has come up with. Something that Mr. Schick pointed out that was a really good idea I thought was the making of a video. This gives you a chance of having a great grade because it requires a lot of work and usually ends out good, not only that but it makes it easier to learn because you have a visual.

YouTube Movie
Today in class we watched a controversial video clip from YouTube that everyone for the mot part had different opinions on. After the video we talked about it and heard a lot of different thought but then after those suggestions Mr.Schick asked us the true meaning and and symbolism of the movie. I think that the true meaning was that you should just follow the crowd you should do your own thing and what you think is right.

Review 1000 word essay
Today in class we discuss what is supposed to be used in a long essay and what is not supposed to be use in an essay. Mr. Schick gave us methods such as reading the work we have done aloud, because when you do this you can catch your own mistakes much better. A lot of the mistakes we make you don't notice when you read it silent because its your work and it all makes sense. We also reviewed the how learning how to write has changed over time. Middle School used to prepare you learn how to write in complete sentences and essays. The reason why we need to know this is because throughout our high-school and college careers.

Test Review Day
Today instead of going over a power point of note we went over the Classical Greece Test. We went around the class and gave answers and went over it as a class just in case anyone had any answers With this review I was able to see what I did right as well ass I did wrong. I started out good with the general information but I was not as prepared for the dates. We also got our 1000 word essay back which our group did very well on. I needed to do good on that essay to balance out the bad test grade I had
