Today in class we took notes, here are the notes below...

Arisacracts & Patritians 
-Rule of the Kings is replaced by rule of 2 consuls (gotta be better than one")
-Consuls are elected officials
-always aristocrats (Patricians)
-Traced their descent from a famous ancestor
-Dealing Justice, Making law, commanding the army

"Regular Folks"
-5th Century BCE patrician dominace of the govt. was a challenge by the plebians
-Plebs were 98% of the population
-Had to serve in the army
-Threaten by slavery
-No legal rights

"No Legal Rights"
-Plebs victims of discriminary in judicial in judicial trials
-Rome had no actual laws
-Just customs
-Patritians could interpret these these to their advantage
-12 Tables
-Tribunes "Tribal leaders" Elected
