-Was born before the calender was invented
-Famous for his poetry
-Died in 701 BCE
-Died in Greece
-Most famous poems he was known for was the Odessy & Iliad
-He was blind
-He was a good story teller
-World's first great writer
Greek Gods & Goddesses
-Apollo is the God of light and Sun
-Amphitheater is the God of the sea
-Eirene is the God of peace
-Zeus is the God of the Sky and Thunder
-Athene is the god of wisdom
-Hades is the god of the dead
Greek Architecture
-Was centered around religion
-Used for showing political power
-Doric columns are very sturdy
-Ionic colons are much thinner and more taller
-Built between 421 & 405 BC
-Corinthian coloums are seldom used
-Pottery was used everyday
